Spring ‘17 Outlook

May 2, 2017 By PMCFarm

Notwithstanding the wettest April on record, and another drenching week forecasted, the trees, bushes, bags and vines all look stellar.

The strawberry plants got an early start and are already flowering, as well as the peaches, nectarines, plumbs, cherries and pears. (In contrast to last year when the flowers were all frozen, and we had no stone fruit whatsoever)

We managed to work through the rain and plant all of our new apple trees and kiwi vines in the new field, and they’re already breaking bud and on their way. Our next project will be to complete the juice stand in time for fresh strawberry and blueberry smoothies.

The Farm Fest is still on for July 15th, with an entertainment line-up and details to follow. Internationally acclaimed blues guitarist Tommy Z and his band will be headlining, with other artists to be announced.

As successful as our koi sale was on Earth day, I’ve fielded many calls from disappointed pond owners who couldn’t make it. Consequently, we’ll be having another sale on Mother’s day weekend (9:00-5:00 Sat & Sun) when we’ll also be offering prime blueberry and strawberry plants for sale.

As always, we look forward to seeing you here.
